Home Care Service What does the Home Care service provide? The Home Care service offers domestic and personal care such as: Bathing, washing and dressing Laundry and ironing Shopping and collecting pensions Preparing light snacks Cleaning The service is available 7 days a week from 6am to 10pm. An Individual Care Package The service is tailored to individual needs and delivered by carefully selected, trained and experienced Home Care staff. For clients' security all our carers are provided with ID badges. How to access the service For further information contact your local Social Services team or phone us and we can help with the application process. How much will it cost? The cost varies - it is determined by an assessment process carried out in your own home by ourselves and Social Services. The Home Care Service runs from 6am to 10pm every day.

Respite Care at Home Scheme Do you live with an adult you care for? Do you need to take a break? We can help! What is the Scheme? This scheme enables carers to have time away from the person they care for, safe in the knowledge that they will be looked after in the familiar surroundings of their own home. What can the Carers do? Our Respite Carers can carry out a variety of tasks including personal care, night sitting, preparing food, shopping and cleaning. They can work times that best suit you - from a couple of hours to a whole week. Will I have to pay? Your local council will pay the majority of the cost, but you will be asked for a small contribution. How do I access the service? The scheme is run by your local council. Community Outreach We provide a befriending service to isolated and housebound elderly people. Our Outreach Worker and team of volunteers visit our clients for 1-2 hours per week. The scheme offers companionship and practical caring, which involves participation in activities and trips. In the last year we have arranged a holiday to Jamaica for some of the centre's clients, which proved a great success. We were able to arrange Carer's grants through Wandsworth Council to help towards the cost of the trip. Community Outreach runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Hope Project What is the Hope Project? The Hope Project is a drop-in/support service designed specifically for people recovering from mental health problems. We aim to: To provide a warm and friendly service that meets the needs of people with mental health problems To provide support and advice that enables clients to develop a postive self-image and improve their ability to cope in the community. We provide the following services: Great Food - We provide tasty, inexpensive meals and cater for most dietary requirements. Our menu has a wide variety of food from many cultures such as African, Caribbean, European and Asian. Emotional & Practical Support - We provide support within a friendly atmosphere, as well as offering counselling and advice on practical issues such as housing and employment. Social Activities - We provide a wide range of activities such as pool, dominoes and table tennis. We also arrange regular free outings to the cinema, 10-pin bowling alley and swimming pool. The Hope Project runs from 3pm to 7pm on Mondays and Fridays.

Over 60s Luncheon Club Who are we? We provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, where you can make new friends with other local people. We can arrange transport and bring you to the club and take you home. We provide tasty and nutritious meals at reasonable prices and cater for most dietary requirements. Our menu includes a wide variety of food from many cultures as African, Caribbean, European and Asian. What do we offer? Aside from our great food we also offer a mix of recreational and educational activities: Keep fit (2-3pm Tuesdays) Tai Chi (2-3pm Wednesdays) Arts and Crafts (2-4pm Thursdays) Dominoes and card games Bowling Computer Club Birthday Celebrations We also organise shopping trips, cinema visits, swimming and even an annual holiday. A small contribution is required for some trips and activities. Luncheon Club runs 11.30am to 4.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - please contact the Centre Manager on 020 8767 1619 for more information.

Youth Club We offer a wide range of recreational activities such as computer training, video-making sessions, group discussions and counselling for young people aged 11-18 The Youth Club runs from 7pm to 9pm every Friday.

Advice and Counselling We offer free advice on pastoral and legal issues. An appointment system is in operation.
